Influence

Research directed toward education

In the Studies in Prejudice foreword, Horkheimer and Samuel H. Flowerman described the American Jewish Committee research program. They wanted research to support education against prejudice. The Committee created a scientific research department and supported the studies. The foreword states the goal; measuring the results of later education programs needs further evidence. [4], series foreword, research-department and re-education paragraphs Horkheimer and Flowerman each headed the Committee’s research department in turn. The Institute for Social Research also took part in the Committee’s prejudice research. [4], Horkheimer preface, partnership and support paragraphs
